At 1 860 m high, Montgenèvre is a charming village-resort of the Southern Alps, ideally located on a pass, close to the Italian border.
It offers 2 skiable sides : Le chalvet and les Gondrans. Thanks to its geographical location, it benefits from a maximum snow coverage and the fantastic sunshine of the Mediterranean climate : 300 sunny days a year. Plenty of sunshine to enjoy going downhill...Down its slopes, larch trees or pine trees with beautiful fragrances or magnificient vhilly slopes offering a fantastic panoramic view on the Oisans, Queyras massif valleys and of course Italy.
It is the only sking resort linked to the skiing areas which hosted the Olymic and para-lympic games of Turin 2006 (Sestrières, Sauze d’Oulx and San Sicario).
From the 2700 m high summits, the ski runs take you, one after another, from one side of the mountain to the other, crossing over a huge skiing area of 400 km of Franco-Italian slopes with a fantastic variety of breathtaking landscapes, leading to the villages, either in a sporty or in a more relaxed way.
The Montgenèvre pistes are serviced every night until they are perfect to suit everyone!! And natural slopes are also there for off-pist lovers...
